WEMCO-Hidrostal PREROSTAL Prerotation Pumping System

The PREROSTAL Prerotation system is a unique, economical, uncomplicated method of automatically adjusting pumping volume to varying inflow rates using a constant speed motor and pump. It combines the screw centrifugal impeller characteristics of the WEMCO-Hidrostal pump with a specially configured vortex inducing chamber around the suction pipe of the pump. The chamber utilizes gravity to impart a fluid spin in the same direction of rotation as the pump impeller, and this spin produces a flow reduction without the necessity of changing pump speed.

Features / Benefits

  • Lower overall energy use than variable speed installations.
  • Less capital investment than other systems.
  • Less maintenance.
  • No sophisticated controls to service.
  • Eliminates vacuum truck cleaning when scum is pumped to main lift pumps.
  • No manual labor intensive, and time consuming wet-well wash down.
  • Reduced odor, gas, and wet-well/piping corrosion.
  • Easy to retro-fit to existing stations.
  • Maximum flexibility in location to your site specific, individual application: Can be permanently mounted in the bottom of your station, shelf-mounted at a level that provides maximum skimming capability with conventional slide rail system or flexible rubber discharge hose, suspended from the top of your station with the built in yoke with a flexible rubber hose, or furnished with a VFD so the pump speed can be adjusted to fit your exact application situation and no separate motor starter required.
