Marine Test and Evaluation Roots
By its very name, Marine Engineering's core expertise has focused
on marine vessel performance. The Division evaluates the full
gambit of a ship's equipment, systems, and computer software in
arriving at a professional and objective assessment of ship or
system capability.
Highly Disciplined and Educated Workforce
Marine Engineering employees are highly motivated and well trained.
Personnel have extensive and varied backgrounds in electrical and
mechanical engineering, computer science, physical sciences, and a
full range of technical disciplines. They possess well developed
project management skills and ensure each and every work detail is
accounted for regardless of whether the job is estimated at $10,000
over 2 months or several million dollars over multiple years.
Based Canada Wide
Marine Engineering's presence is well established across Canada
with professional staff located in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, and
Victoria, British Columbia. The Montreal facility includes a modern
test area with specialized equipment and instrumentation to test a
wide range of mechanical and electronic systems. The capability is
there to move test gear to job sites in other locations along with
the right team of specialists.
ISO Certified
Marine Engineering is committed to continual improvement and
providing our clients with the highest quality service possible. We
are certified to the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards. Our Quality
Management Systems are also closely linked to our certified ISO
14001 Environmental Management System. Marine Engineering is
currently working towards achieving OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health
and Safety certification in early 2008.
Flexibility
Marine Engineering’s expertise extends beyond marine oriented
equipment and the division reacts with flexibility in meeting new
challenges. The Division reconfigured, for example, a marine diesel
test cell to meet a customer's need for gauging performance of
overhauled aviation engines.
