SIGNIFICANT PUMP-UPGRADE AT ROSYTH
Weir Power and Industrial's Alloa Service Centre has recently
been awarded a contract from Babcock Marine Limited for the upgrade
and refurbishment of some of Scotland’s largest pumps.
Babcock Marine awarded Weir Power and Industrial with an 18
month contract worth covering all pump refurbishment, pump
replacement and additional pumps with new starters, controls and
cabling. Included within the de-watering package is the
refurbishment of two 48 inch non-return valves, Weir Blakeborough
gate valves and associated actuators.
Weir Power and Industrial Alloa is now in the process of
providing a modern, efficient and mechanically and electrically
maintenance friendly pumping system that will ensure that the naval
docks can be drained efficiently.
