BV24000 Firesafe Valve

Weir Firesafe certifed Double Offset High Performance Valve, available Class 150 -900. Valve is available with Varidiff Trim, if cavitation is a problem. Designed to meet the stringent safety requirements of the offshore industry, the Firesafe Valve is also being widely used in other areas; such as chemical plants. Whilst utilising many of the proven design features of the Hyperseal Valve in its construction, the Firesafe Valve has a two tier sealing arrangement. The primary ‘PTFE’ seal is backed up by a secondary metal seal ring. Should elevated temperatures result in the destruction of the ‘PTFE’ seal then the shut-off integrity of the Firesafe Valve is maintained by the metal sealing ring.

The Firesafe Valve has been tested and approved to BS6755 part 2, API 6PA, 6D and 607, and is available in the same size and pressure ratings as the Hyperseal Valve.
