Weir Blakeborough BV830 Series Control Valve for Mixing and
Splitting Applications. Valves in the three way
series are most commonly used for proportional blending or
splitting of two flows. There are three basic
configurations:
The two inlet connections with common branch
outlet type (BV830) allows proportional blending of two flows into
one stream. The valve can also be used for flow splitting duties
with one inlet and two outlets if flow is in reverse.
For proportional flow splitting the two outlet with common inlet
branch type (BV831) is recommended. The valve is designed to divert
a quantity of the process medium from one section of the system to
another.
On applications requiring a tight shut off at high pressure drops a
balanced design (BV832) would be selected. This design can be used
only on flow splitting services.
