Success for Weir Power and Industrial France
Weir Power & Industrial France has been awarded a contract
to supply Sarasin–RSBD safety valves for general service
applications to the industrial company Maersk Oil. An
agreement was signed with Sembcorp Marine (SOME) Singapore for over
one hundred European engineered valves. SMOE Singapore will
be responsible for constructing the new platform at their
fabrication site in Singapore. The platform will be
transported to the North Sea upon completion.
Weir Power & Industrial’s Sarasin-RSBD safety valve was
chosen against several competitors. The valves are to be made
of only top quality European materials with a targeted delivery of
early 2010.
The expertise of Weir Power & Industrial France and their
European foundries will be maximized to respond rapidly and
effectively to the technical specifications of Maersk Oil.
